Reply to criticism: A Response to the Critique of scientometrics

The main purpose of this article is responding to criticism of the book “Introduction to scientometrics (principles, concepts, relations and roots) ” published in numbers 7 and 8 in Quarterly Review of Books information and communication. In order to provide the best possible confrontation of critic claims with reality, this critic’s article is based on the critic text order. In addition, this article respond to the reviews that critic cites against other writers without scientific backing. In total, reasoning, documentation and evidence suggests that all citations and translations done in the book, was right and the author’s analyzes and models are innovations in the book, and all are in common views on the foundations of scientometrics. In return, the critic slip on «providing false data», «ignoring the strengths of the book», «ignoring the operational definitions and explanations of the author», «misrepresent the concepts and ideas» and «an attempt to conceal the innovations of the Book». Also, “stated incomplete and unfinished sentences of the book, ‘’ misperceptions of the author’s analysis”, “neglect the issues of co-citation”, “ neglecting phenomenon of instability in the web links” and “the introduction of non-cash previously about the book” are other signs that his criticism is not compassionate. In addition, there is evidence of “inappropriate use of words”, “ expression of background of the author with no relevant to the text book “ and “harsh tone and language when writing Review”, all are critical evidence that the critic not only failed in criticism but also violate the author’s right.
