Translation history in Iran

History of translation in Iran: From Antiquity to the end of the Qajar period would be introduced and criticized in this article, based on two approaches: A) general introduction of the book and its position in translation studies; B) Review the book, particularly on the basis of some theories of translation. In this book, the researcher was looking for cultural transmission from different aspects and functions of research. For this reason, the translation has been studied in the context of society and major events affecting it. The possible impact of translation on some social aspects also has been proposed. Many data collected and analyzed in the context of social and cultural events. Authority Thesis and its relation to the rise and fall of translation and knowledge transfer can be considered the most important result of this data. In fact, the director of research and the culmination of the investigation is demonstrating the correlation between these two variables in book. The combination of evidence and social events among with historical data that is often associated with literary masterpieces (along with fascinating narration of writer) made it an attractive book for every reader. Making questions and research gaps, combined with theorizing made the useful for researchers of translation studies, sociology, history, scientometrics, planners and policy makers of science and technology dissemination and transfer and interdisciplinary studies.
