Theological (Kalami) Investigation on the Notion of Abrogation of the Previous Religions from Traditional Perspective

Message:
Abstract:
The researcher in this article, entitled “Theological (Kalami) Investigation on the Notion of Abrogation of the Previous Religions from Traditional Perspective”, is to represent the traditional (Sunna) view on the abrogation of the previous religions with the emergence of Islam in the theological method. In the other word, since Kalam proofing legitimacy of Islam and previous religions is the responsibility of Kalam (Islamic Theology), the researcher of this article is to investigate this problem by using theological methods. The results of this research shows that from the perspective of tradition, Islam as the last and most complete religion descended by God for human being is abrogating the previous religions and after delegation of the holy prophet of Islam (Bi’that) the previous religions had lost their validity and legitimacy. Consequently, proofing that Islam is abrogating leads to this point that in the age of the last divine religion the only just and truthful religion is the divine religion of prophet Muhammad (S); and following any other religion, even if it is not distorted, is not acceptable.
