Investigation of the Reasons of Appearance and Continuance ofSecurity Dilemma in Post-Saddam Iraq

Message:
Abstract:
The main claim of the present paper is that after overthrow of Saddam in 2003, politico-social facts of the Iraqi society appeared facts which didn’t find an opportunity for appearance and expression since the establishment of Iraq in the onset of 20th century until overthrow of Saddam. In this long period and under the shadow of dictatorships as well as political and social relations of this country, tribal, racial and religious structure of Iraq – which is the fixed component of such type of fragmented societies – not only had no position in power, but also encountered organized aggression and refusal. Outcome of Saddam overthrow was coming of the structural realities of Iraq into the field and this matter puts this country in a security dilemma condition. Authors believe that this situation is fundamentally, the result of ignorance of the social structure and a type of historical identity refusal and humiliation that after overthrow of someone, an endless competition for proving oneself and overcoming such unsuitable historical sense has begun. In this work, various angles of this issue are explored.
