The Police and Deal with Psychoactive Drugs

Nowadays, the use of drug makes the greatest concern for the societies. Drug industry as the most dangerous factor leading to the disintegration of the family. There are physical and psychological effects of drug abuse. This study uses the library and documentary research methods to examine the current status of psychoactive drugs in communities and the role of the police in dealing with psychoactive drugs. Police plays an important role in preventing and dealing with psychotropic substances. The police has an important and effective role against drug abuse by helping of authorities to control of psychoactive drugs, public education, using the capacity of the media, and providing education programs for the younger generation about risks of psychoactive drugs. Family care for children and youth, awareness on the psychotropic substances usage, increased financial support of the anti-narcotics police are the important factors to deal with psychotropic substance abuse.Given that the criminal offense of trafficking in narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances are done by women, the police woman's role in counter-narcotics and psychotropic substances is importan. So the role of police women could be useful in identify and investigation of women offenders.
