The Burnout as Psychological Syndrome of Predictors of Aggression at the Hospital

Background and There is limited research on the relationship burnout and aggression (As a reaction to burnout and not personalities). In this study, it has been checked with the model presented. This study focuses on the relationship between aggression and burnout by using regression analysis to determine the predictors of aggression.
The purpose of this research is practical and the method is descriptive-survey. In this study, by using simple random sampling and using Cochran test, about 80 of the 102 permanent nurses of internal, surgery, emergency, psychiatric, ICU and CCU section were estimated at social security hospital in zahedan as the minimum required samples, so 90 questionnaires were distributed and of these, 82 questionnaires were fully completed and analyzed. Also, SPSS software and SMART PLS used to analyze the data.
Discussion and The results showed that burnout has a significant effect on aggression and its dimensions and also, the burnout dimensions have similar effect on aggression and can be regarded as a predictor for them. A more detailed analysis shows that depersonalization plays the greatest impact on aggression. On the other hand, according to Friedman test results among burnout dimensions, the results showed that emotional exhaustion among nurses of this hospital is the largest among other burnout dimensions. Burnout effect on anger conversely while shows a significant positive effect on offensive and hostility.
