The Effectiveness of Self-efficacy on Achievement Motivation of Medical Sciences Students

Abstract:
Background And Aims
The purpose of this study was to investigate The Effectiveness of Self-efficacy on Achievement Motivation of Students.
Methods
The research method was semi-experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of study included all students in Guilan University of Medical Sciences in 2015 academic year, that among them 30 students were selected by using random sampling method and assigned to experimental group (15 individuals) and control group (15 individuals). The experimental group had received 8 sessions of Self-efficacy program. Achievement Motivation questionnaire used to data gathering. Data were analyzed by multivariable co-variance test.
Results
Findings indicated that the research hypothesis of effect of Self-efficacy on Achievement Motivation of Students had been proven and students of experimental group in comparison with control group, in posttest had a significantly increases test anxiety and academic burnout.
Conclusion
So, we can conclude that Cognitive Self-efficacy Program has a significant effect on Achievement Motivation of Students.
