The Subcultural Analysis in the Qur anic Theory of Deviance

Relations of subcultures and subcultural elements with deviance and victimization is a major determinant in the Qur’anic theory of deviance. The present article studies Qur’an’s analysis of this relations; and is a part of a research project that aimed at formulating the social theory as obtained from the Islamic holy texts. The findings show that this Qur’anic analysis has Integrated 43 factors from various levels, their relations have been examined systematically and comprehensively in six aspects. The analysis is presented in a theoretical model and offers novel findings on the issue. The research method has observed the criteria of text interpretation as determined by Islamic and social sciences and achieved an understanding of Qur’anic verses and phrases that is valid in both fields.
