This article is to review the struggles and the life of the martyred Hojatoleslam Mohammad Ali Rouhani Fard against the Mohammad Reza Shah’s despotism between 1962 and 1979 and also the prominent role of this pious knowledgeable clergy after the victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran until his martyrdom in March 1986. Firstly we would be familiar with the biography of this great martyr and then the place where he grown up and in his education in Gorgan and Qum seminaries. Then his struggles during the historic and critical period before the victory of Islamic revolution will be discussed. We will be also familiar with his struggle trend and at the same time his publications about different subjects. The author also represents some of his main moral and behavioral characteristics based on narrations of his friends and family. In this article we read how Martyr Rouhani Fard was born in the village of Ilvar in Korkouy County in north-eastern Iran and served all his less than forty years life for people and Islam and lost his dear life as a devotee of God and Islamic revolution. In the end we read the story of his martyrdom in the air strike of Iraqi invading fighters against the Iranian civil flight carrying Iranian officials including him in March 1985 and the reflection of this horrible crime of Baathists in the other countries’ media and press.
