The Gloomy Shadow of Ashraf on the National Government of Mosaddegh

Abstract:
In this paper the author reviews the life of Princess Ashraf from her birth until her involvement in Iranian politics based on historical documents and resources and then explains the role made by her in different sense of decision making for appointing prime ministers by Mohammad Reza Shah and some other critical points in history that the most important one among them is her role in the coup d'etat against the legal national government of Mosaddegh in August 19th 1953. In this regard the role played by the British and United States in organizing the coup in Iran, the reason behind choosing Ashraf as the link between British-US coup-makers and the Shah and his supporters are explained. The author particularly notes the prominent role played by Ashraf in organizing the Shah supporters at the time of his flee from Iran. The author then describes in full detail the characteristics of Ashraf Pahlavi as an adventurous person and as a woman who was not afraid of doing any attempt in achieving her illegal or in some cases immoral wishes.
