Economic Barriers To The Development Of Coastal Sports Case Study: Central Part Of Mazandaran Province

The aim of this study was to evaluate the economic barriers to the development of coastal sports in Mazandaran province. The research method was mixed. The population of the province, including the provincial authorities, governments, departments of Youth and Sports and Life, as well as officials of lifeguard in the coastal cities. Purposive and convenience sampling was used. In the qualitative section semi-structured interviews with a sample of (n = 18) was used to identify barriers and it stopped after the theoretical saturation interviews. In the quantitative part, results of the interviews in the form of a questionnaire survey among 384 individuals were collected and distributed. The validity and reliability of qualitative methods were examined by member's review and coding; a questionnaire validity and content validity was carried out by experts and using factor analysis (0KMO: 0.80); reliability was examined through Cronbach's alpha (78/0 = α); to analyze the interviews, grounded theory and open coding, axial coding and selective coding were used. In the quantitative data analysis descriptive and inferential statistics (Friedman test) were used. The results showed weaknesses in the use of economic incentives needed to encourage private sector participation in the development of coastal Sports is known as the main obstacle. It is proposed that the authorities in this regard to consider more banking facilities.
