Investigating the Status of Intellectual Capital, Lifelong Learning, and Entrepreneurship Characteristics of the Employees of the Kiver Tire Factory in Birjand

Entrepreneurship is the centerpiece of economic development, and the entrepreneurs, through the destruction of the old and inefficient methods of the past and replacing them with efficient and modern methods, give rise to economic system, dynamism and life. Among the factors involved in entrepreneurship is the issue of intellectual capital and lifelong learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the status of intellectual capital, lifelong learning and entrepreneurial characteristics of the employees of the Kavir Tire factory in Birjand city. The research method was descriptive-correlational and the statistical population consisted of employees of the Kavir Tire factory in Birjand city (1160 people), 291 of them were selected as a sample by purposeful sampling. Data were gathered by using three questionnaires; entrepreneurial characteristics of Neg Neneh (2011) with Cronbach's alpha of 0.77, Intellectual Capital of Bontis (1998) with Cronbach's alpha of 0.90, and life-long learning of Wielkiewicz and Meuwissen (2014) with Cronbach's alpha of 0.82. The results of the research show that the status of entrepreneurial characteristics and its components, intellectual capital and its components, and lifelong learning are in a desirable level.
