Role of Economic Media in Promotion of Non-Oil Exports

The important role the media especially the economic media play in contributing to promotion of non-oil exports and entering the world markets is not hidden to anybody. This study intends to survey the role the economic media play in development of non-oil exports. Descriptive research and questionnaire have been used to conduct the review. The statistical population of the research includes Iran’s Export Guarantee Fund experts. With regards to the low number of experts, total population sampling has been used bringing the total population to 115 people. Descriptive statistics techniques such as frequency tables and statistical diagrams have been used to examine the distribution of statistical samples in terms of individual variables. Kolmogorov–Smirnov test has been applied to determine the normality of distribution. To test the hypotheses of the study, Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regression have been applied. The research findings indicate that the dependent variable and all the components of the independent variable are normal. They also show the publicity variable through economic media, information dissemination through economic media, guidance through economic media and education through economic media have significant effect on non-oil exports expansion. Only propagation through economic media variable has no significant effect on non-oil exports promotion.
