A Review of Relationship between Degree and Kind of Internet Usage and Lifestyle

This paper intends to review the relationship between new communication Technologies (Internet) and lifestyle of the personnel of the Iranian Space Agency. The study examines from two dimensions the relationship between the amount and kind of people’s Internet usage and their lifestyle and leisure time with one primary hypothesis and four secondary hypotheses as well as one primary question and four secondary questions. The methodology of this work is descriptive research and its statistical population is 400 personnel of Iranian Space agency. Using the Cochran test, the sample population has been determined to be 196 people. A questionnaire with 22 closed-ended questions has been used to collect the data.
To provide a descriptive study of the questionnaires and analyze the data, SPSS software and descriptive statistics including frequency, relative frequency and cumulative frequency have been used. In inferential statistics of this study, T-test as well as the Pearson's R and regression analysis have been used to examine the relationship between the Internet and lifestyle. The findings of the study indicate that out of the five hypotheses, three were verified and two were not supported.
Therefore, there is a meaningful relationship between the amount of Internet usage and lifestyle. That is to say the more people use Internet, the more modern taste and leisure time they will enjoy.
