Identifying Impacting Factors on Science and Technology Diplomacy Development

Although Science and Technology Diplomacy as a phenomenon is not new, it's gotten successful experiences and its literature is growing in recent years.Science and Technology Diplomacy is defined as interactions of science,technology and diplomacy in line of achievement of national interests about international affairs that up until now it's used by many countries. This research was started and continued because of non-existent of comprehensive model about STD that's affirmed by Iranian expert. By qualitative and quantitative research method this research was started with reviewing existent literatures including reports, articles of experienced people and etc. and continued with exploratory interviews and qualified by tests and experts confirmed. Finally this's led to five macro-factors that affect on STD Development. As result of this research Programming and Systemizing; Infrastructures; National Promotion and Branding; Capacity survey; and Academic interactions are affecting factors on STD development. According this research, Infrastructures is the more frequent and important one.
