The Validation of the Religiosity (Piety) Scale and the Role of Active Teaching Methods with the Islamic Approach on the Religiosity Measure of Students in the (Upper) Secondary School

Abstract:
The aim of this research is the validation of the religiosity scale and the examination of the role of the teaching method (active based on the Islamic- traditional approach) of the Religion and Human Life lesson on the religiosity measure of students in the (upper) secondary school in the city of Dezful. The method of study is ex post facto and of the type of causal-comparative. The statistical population includes all (upper) secondary high school students in the city of Dezful in the school year 1394-1395 which 370 students have been selected with cluster sampling method as the statistical population. The tool of the thesis included the questionnaire of the religiosity scale which its validity was proved by the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) in four areas (religious beliefs, devotion to Allah- ibadat-, good deeds, interaction with nature). The research findings show that the students who are taught with the active teaching method by teachers of the Religion and Human life lesson in secondary high school have an upper religiosity measure to those students who taught by teachers of the Religion and Human life lesson in the traditional method.
