Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is the investigation of relationship between teacher and student based on I-Thou relationship and its objective experiences in Gabriel Marcel’s thought. To achieve this purpose, practical deduction method has been used. Matters are presented in two main frameworks: beginning, Marcel’s philosophical thoughts have been described and analyzed then based on relying on them, educational implications of the relationship between teacher and student have been inferred. The findings of the study indicate that to solve problem of disease of contemporary man, Marcel introduced back to being secret. In Marcel’s view, it would not be realized except in the light of I-Thou relationship and its objective experiences such as love, availability, fidelity, faith and hope. Based on this relationship, three educational implications of the relationship between teacher and student have been inferred: making authentic and human relationship, providing the context for being experience and dialogue as the most appropriate teaching method.
