Influence of abscisic acid and cytokinin hormones on flavonol synthase (FLS) gene expression in alkali weed (Cressa cretica)

In this study, samples were treated with external application of abscisic acid (300 ppm) at two-stages in Vegetative stage after 4 months growth of 8-day spray interval and 500 ppm for abscisic acid (ABA) and cytokinine (BAP) hormone only at one stage for FLS gene expression using Real Time PCR. The purpose of using abscisic acid in two stages was to find the effect of hormone concentration and abscisic acid durability on FLS gene expression. Analysis of data performed using Pfaffl method and REST software. Evaluation of flavonol synthase gene expression using SAS software and Duncan test proved that the mean change for treatments was obtained to the 1.4- 2.4-fold compared to the control sample.
