Oral History of Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Oral history is description and recognition of an event based on what have been seen and heard and done by the witnesses, observers and activists who were presented at the event. This issue is very important in foreign policy and different countries have put emphasis on this issue formally or academically and produced invaluable and documented works in the field of foreign policy and international relations. Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the main entity in charge of external relations, has focused on recording oral histories of its respective body. The most important and most useful oral history objectives from the perspective of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of foreign policy include: purposeful gathering of news and information from the unsaid, initiatives, bitter and sweet events during the mission, diplomatic valuable experiences, both positive and negative events in our relations with the governments of the world, in live format and in the form of memories said by diplomats, politicians, officials and foreign policy experts and preservation of them in the memory
