Correlation between user's search terms with the proposed terms of the papers in the bibliographic records of EBSCO and IEEE databases

Abstract:
Objective
This study aims to investigate user's queries corresponding to alternative terms of Latin databases. Databases display subjective content of their documents through using natural language or controlled language vocabularies in specified bibliographic fields corresponded to other bibliographic information that are called papers alternative terms.
Methods
This study is practical and has been conducted by content analysis. The statistical community includes Ebsco and IEEE Latin databases in which the transactions have been investigated during 3 months.
Results
The findings indicate that user's queries are corresponded to free alternative terms more than controlled alternative terms. Though, the relative correspondence between user's queries and controlled alternative terms is more than free alternative terms. Also there is meaningful difference between users queries correspondence to each kinds of alternative terms. The results indicate that the terms are able highly in using for indexing references, choosing the terms of thesaurus and sources of choosing keywords of searching in search extension.
