(Investigating the amount, type of network, program and motivation of young people to use satellite networks)

This article attempts to investigate the use, type of network, program and motivation of using Andishe city youth from foreign Persian language satellite networks and the relationship between their use and motivation. Regarding the subject of the theoretical framework, this research is based on the theory of use and gratification.
This research is descriptive and inferential and its method is survey. The statistical population of this study is young people aged 15-29 years old, Andishe city that number is 56,760. The sample size of this study was 382 by the Cochran formula.The sampling method of this research is combined (cluster sampling proportional to community size and accident sampling).
Findings show that 68.8% of the satellites are used. The use rate is moderate and the average usage is 2 hours and 40 minutes. The largest network used by GEM and Manoto. The most used program is science and film and serial and the most important motive is the use of emotional motivation.
