Analysis of the spatial crimes dispersion in urban parks (case study: Parks Tehran city)

Abstract:
Urban public spaces such as public parks include the places that construct not only citizens spend their leisure time at them but also in order to beautify the cities. Crime dispersion and social security in such spaces are one of the most important cases that influence the quality of life of citizens, so various aspects of them are necessary to explore. Propose of this research is the analysis of the spatial dispersion of crimes and social security in parks in Tehran. In terms of the purpose this study is applied and in terms of the method this research is descriptive-survey. Twenty three types of crime data collected from 39 Parks in Tehran, in 2014 that they were gathered by Police centers. In order to data analysis we were used the VIKOR method to rank parks and Geographic information system software is used to show spatial crimes and Spss software is used for correlation analysis. Results show that Honarmandan, Nahjolbalagha, Darband, Shafaq, Saadat Abad parks are on the top rankings in terms of security. While Velayat, Lavizan and Cheetgar parks are located in the last ranks, that they strongly need to increase security. As well as, findings research show positive and significant relationship between the area and rating park of security.
