Abstract:
Railroad transportation which includes high technology has in common with other transport systems but due to its specific characteristics should be managed exactly. Marshalling yards that have been classified objects, based on wagons, reducing time to use optimum tracks, have an important role. The main purpose of hump yards is to receive, sorte and assemble a large number of tracks grouped to make up various trains, and then dispatche them to their new destinations. Designing of this stations are depends on topography, priority, location and accessability of land. Building a hump in the humping yard, increases speed of regrouping. This hump could be fixed or movable, which will change in height or slope of hump according to the distance of tracks which should be passed. In this research, we study the impact of related factors to slope of hump. Velocity and length are independent variables which specify grade slope. The model has been computing in ERP which is coding based on MATLAB. Thus, the formula has been achieved and accuracy of the formula in comparison with the designed experimental stations has been valid enough.
