The Pathology of Islamic Awakening from the Perspective of the Supreme Leader

This article which is focused on the opinion and expression of the Supreme Leader, tries to investigate the concept and factors which affect the pathology of Islamic Awakening movements, and to provide analytical model based on the success of the Islamic revolution in Iran. To achieve this purpose, the elements of Islamic Revolution of Iran affecting on Islamic Awakening movements are provided by using text-based interpretation. Then, the definition of Islamic Awakening expressed in the Supreme Leader's thought by analyzing documents of his speeches. Finally, based on the parameters that can be pointed to the pathology of these movements are derived from the thought of the leader, and in order to provide the analytical model, the system of relationships between these components is discussed. Finally, it is clear that the Islamic Awakening movements in the Supreme Leader's thought - awareness of the Islamic nation, based on the dignity that massive uprisings against domestic tyranny and foreign imperialism in West Asia and North Africa have created - can be subject to both internal and external damages. In this model, presented internal injuries include internal threats to the leadership and the networks of elites, ideologies, and people. External injuries consist of: three strategies of "trick opportunism”, "providing alternatives departure", and "desperate people and regretted the fighters".
