Analysis of Scientific Productions on Islamic Philosophy in the Web of Science (Wos) from the Year 2007 To 2016

Abstract:
The present paper seeks to analyze the world's scientific productions on Islamic Philosophy indexed in the Web of Science (WoS). This is a descriptive research using scientometric approach. The findings show that there are totally 176 records on Islamic Philosophy indexed in the WoS, 71of which were published as journal and the others published in other document types such as book review, book chapters, etc. According to the country of publications, the United States of America (USA) with 42 records, and the United Kingdom (UK) with 21 records were ranked first and second respectively. In terms of language of the publications, more than 80% of the records were published in English, 8% in German and 3% in Spanish. Among all authors of publications, F.Y. Albertini, with 8 records, one citation, and with H-Index of 1 ranked the first followed by O. Leman, and R. Jackson, with 4 and 3 records respectively and without any citation, ranked the second and the third.
