The Second Coming of Imam al-Husayn from the Perspective of Hadiths

A Shiite article of faith concerns belief in the principle of the Second Coming. Shiites hold that in the time of Imam al-Mahdi's uprising certain strange events shall take place, one of which is the second coming of certain believers as well as infidels. The believers shall be taken back to this world for witnessing the Divine dominant power, the then status of the pious, and for receiving a portion of their rewards yet in this world. On the other hand, the infidels shall be taken back to this world to taste the retribution of just a small portion of the tortures they gave to the pious and true believers. According to such prayers as Jamiah al-kabirah, the Arbaeen ziarat-text, and other similar authoritative texts, the Infallible Imams shall certainly be amongs who shall experience the Second Coming. And Imam al-Husayn shall certainly be taken back to this world in this way. The present paper deals with the reasons of his second coming to this world, all based on reliable hadith literature.
