Comparison of Resiliency and Marital Satisfaction among Camp Residents, Drug Adicts Treated with Methadone and Normal Individuals

This study aimed to compare the resiliency and marital satisfaction among addicts in the camps, addicts treated with methadone and non-addicts individuals.­ For this purpose, 120 participants (each group 40 participants) were selected by the convenience sampling method. In order to collect data, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Enrich marital satisfaction were used. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Multivariate analysis of variance. The findings indicated that there were significant differences in the resiliency and marital satisfaction among addicts in the camps, addicts treated with methadone and normal people. The highest difference was in the subscale of marital satisfaction and the lowest difference was in the subscale of sexual relations. The normal individuals were higher in both variables compared to other groups. Overall, the results indicate that marital problems in addicts under treatment, which should be considered in the process of recovery. Also, poor resilience in addicts should be promoted with educational programs.
