Evaluation of Inpatient Satisfaction from the Implementation of the Health System Evolution Program (HSEP)

Satisfaction of patients with the quality of health care services is important and the aim of implementing the health system reform plan is to increase people's satisfaction with health services and reduce the costs of public hospitals. Therefore this study was conducted to determine the inpatient Satisfaction from HSTP in Shahid Mohammadi Educational Hospital, Bandar Abbas, Iran.
This retrospective descriptive cross-sectional study was performed using the documents in the statistics center of Shahid Mohammadi Hospital in 2016. The information of the 6 months of 2014 and the whole 2015 year were collected using a satisfaction questionnaire which was obtained from the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education. Data were analyzed using Excel 2007 software.
In this study, data of 900 patients were evaluated. Data analysis showed that the highest satisfaction was related to not paying money at the time of hospitalization and receiving the bill when discharged and the lowest satisfaction was associated with medical services (35.3%).
According to the results of this study, the majority of subjects were satisfied with the HSEP, This indicates that the HSEP increases patient's satisfaction.
