An introduction on intellectual movement of Saudi liberal thinkers
Presences of liberal movement, the extent of its influence, its evolution, and its impact on the royal Family (Ale-Saud) have been some of the controversial issues for the last few years. Although some deny the presence of such movement in the Saudi Arabia, some others have acknowledged it and have spoken its extent of influence. The chaotic situation of 1990s, some of the Wahhabis’ reconsideration of their own ideology, westernization of the royal family, discovery of oil, and immigration of work force in Saudi with divers thinking background, harsh treatment of Wahhabites institutions toward people, accessing internet in the country are some of the factors that paved the way for liberalism in Saudi Arabia. The diversity of liberalist and the quality of their relations with Jaamis and Sahvis are two related issues.
