The study and comparison self-differentiation, communication patterns, and sexual satisfaction in divorce-seeking and normal couples

The aim of this study was to investigate and compare differentiation level, communication patterns, and sexual satisfaction among divorce-applicant (DA) and non-divorce-applicant (NDA) couples in Qom city. 100 DA and 70 NDA couples were selected via voluntary and accessible sampling method, and filled Smith’s and Schroon’s Differentiation Questionnaire, Christensen and Salavy’s Scale of Communication Patterns, and Larson’ Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire. Data was analyzed by one-way analysis of variance and SPSS-18 software. The results showed that communication patters and sexual satisfaction were significantly different between DA and NDA couples, but the two groups were the same in terms of different ion level.
