The Motif of Resistance Literature in Ebrahim Abutaleb's Poem

Abstract:
Resistance literature is a branch of literature which contains poems which reports the resistance and bravery of a nation or people against any kind of assault and oppression. By taking a look at the literature of war engaged countries, we can understand that this kind of literature has a special place among them. Yemen people joined Islamic awakening in 2011 like other Islamic Arabic countries because they were tired of oppression internal rulers and after the victory of their revolution they ousted the oppressor rulers. Poets, as the communicative language of people, fought against the brutal regime. Dr. Ebrahim Aboutaleb has reflected Yemen condition at the time of civil war and Islamic awakening in his book of poems. He has a special attention to his home country and is unhappy about the oppression of corrupt rulers. He is dissatisfied with the current troubled condition; and he strongly criticizes the corruption in Yemen. Abutaleb has known Mohammad Buazizi as the revival factor of human spirit. The current research tries to investigate the poet's protest and the manifestation of resistance literature in his poem by studying the book of poem" When the Breeze Blows".
