Determining Iran tourism industry sustainable development strategies by using Meta SOWT Technique in light of the goals of Iran Tourism Vision Document

Today, tourism industry is considered one of the most important sectors in the countries and is competing with big global businesses such as Automotive and Petrochemical industries.This paper aims to identify weaknesses, strengths, opportunities and threats of Iran tourism industry through investigating goals of vision document and library studies. Problems have been verified by managers and experts in the field of tourism. Finally, main reasons of tourism undevelopment introduced by using Meta SWOT Technique. Results show that the most important reasons are lack of appropriate infrastructure, Incompatibility of the rules, lack of unique and certain planning and sanctions.
