Investigating the Relationship between Manager's Power Resources with Organizational Trust and Organizational Communication Effectiveness

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between manager's power resources with organizational trust and organizational communication effectiveness. The research method is descriptive. The population included all staff of Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan (777) which using stratified sampling method 260 employees according to Krejczy and Morgan tables were randomly selected for the study. For data collection three questionnaires have been used: managers’ power resources, organizational trust and organizational communication effectiveness. The results show that the status of both variables of organizational trust and the effectiveness of organizational communication is moderate at Bu Ali Sina University of Hamadan. There is no positive and significant correlation between the manager's power resources and organizational trust. The results also showed that the coercive power of managers has the most impact on the trust and effectiveness of organizational communication.
