The Study of Organizational Development based on Enabling and Hindering Abilities of the Organizational Structure (Case Study: Chamran University to Ahwaz)

The aim of this study was to predict the status of organizational development based on enabling and hindering abilities of organizational structure. The statistical population includes managers and faculty members of Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz. Through simple stratified random sampling, 243 individuals were selected from faculty members through total counting of university managers and heads. The research instrument has been organizational development evaluation questionnaire and the scale has been the type of organizational structure. For data analysis, dependent t-test, repeated measurement variance analysis, correlation matrix, multivariate regression and one sample T-test were used. The findings showed that organizational development of research area in universities has not benefited from desired quality and efficiency and has not a balanced status. In addition, hindering and enabling structures have been prevalent in this university to the same extent. Moreover, it was found that type of structure is a good and significant predictor of organizational development.
