The role of attachment styles and marital satisfaction on sexual satisfaction through the mediation of love among married

Marital satisfaction is a positive and enjoyable attitude which couples have toward different aspects of marital relations. This study aimed to investigate the role of attachment styles and sexual satisfaction in marital satisfaction through the mediation of love among married students studying in Yazd Azad University. Participants in the study were 250 students. These individuals were selected using random sampling method. The data were collected from Adult Attachment Scale, Enrich marital satisfaction questionnaire, sexual satisfaction questionnaire and Love Story scale (LSS). In addition to descriptive methods, Pearson correlation and regression were also used to check the hypotheses. The findings showed that attachment styles and sexual satisfaction predicted marital satisfaction. Love had a mediating role in people's marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction. Considering that sexual satisfaction is one of the most important factors of happiness in marriage and its Unsatisfactory will bring a sense of failure. Therefore, attachment styles and love styles compliance should be considered for marriage counseling agenda.
