Evaluation Diversity of some Center and South Iranian Onion (Allium cepa L.) Genotypes for Bolting Resistance and It's Relationship with SSR Marker

Flowering branches formation in bulb production time were reduced the quality and quantity of product. Thus, study how this phenomenon for identifying bolting resistant genotypes is important. To evaluate diversity of some center and south Iranian onion genotypes in respect to flower production, 16 accessions of Iranian onions seeds (6 genotype received from Iranian Gene bank and 10 local accessions were collected from different regions of the center and south of the country) as well as two foreign cultivars were planted in the pots and in stage of eight leaves, were treated during 45 and 70 day. From 12 SSR primers, only 10 primers can produced right bands. The average polymorphic Information Content (PIC), observed and expected heterozygosity were 0.38, 0.49 and 0.59, respectively. Cluster analysis based on molecular data using Jaccard's similarity coefficient and UPGMA method, classified the evaluated genotypes in six groups. The results of binary logistic regression showed that some of SSR markers are linked to morphological and physiological characteristics.
