Identify and Prioritize the Factors Affecting the Establishment of Ship Scrapping Site
By identifying and prioritizing factors affecting the location of ship scrapping site, would make the right decision about the ship will be scrapped on site, until Intended place have not any social and environmental problems for other industries in the region. Therefore, such a location is chosen in the range of less time and with greater certainty. The aim of this study is to identify and prioritize the factors affecting the establishment of ship scrapping industry by examining the literature review and comments population. For this purpose, data resulted from the distribution of the two-stage questionnaire were analyzed by using AHP model and Expert Choice 11, SPSS22 software. The results showed that, among the main criteria, environmental indicators are top priority with final weight of 0.478. Among the transport subgroups, close to port, docks and access to maritime transport services with 0.614, among the technical and physical subgroups, tidal water differences with 0.244, among the social and economic subgroups, the optimal distance from the metropolitan area (pollution prevention and settlement) with 0.376, among the resources and energy subgroups, access to gas pipelines 0.508 and among the Environmental, national and international treaties subgroups relating to the protection of the sea environment with 0.339 were identified as the most important priority in the relevant criteria.
