The Archaistic and Nationalistic Historiography of Iran in Qajar Era

Abstract:
In the second half of 19 century of Iran In Qajar era , because of Iran's relations with the Western world and following The familiarity of some Iranians intellectuds with the new thoughts and schools of The West such as nationalism , a new Kind of Historiography appeared in Iran which was unprecedented in The history of Iran historiography. The new historiography was founded on the Archaistic Foundations, writing pure ,paying respect to Iran , and its culture and history.
This historical attitude that started with unscientific and romantic approaches ,indeed was an attempt to restore cultural independence and national identity , in the Qajar era.For the first time , the nationalist and Archaistic historical attitude was appeared in thoughts of Akhondzade and historiograpical works of Jalal aldin Mirza Qajar , and continued by Mirza Agha khan Kermani and finally it was fulfilled . The present article has been paying an analytical approach to the appearance of archaistic and Nationalistic historiography and its characteristics in Qajar Era .
