The effectiveness of reality therapy based on choice theory on increasing marital satisfaction and sexual self-esteem and reduction of marital conflicts in divorce applicant women

The aim of present study was to investigate the effectiveness of reality therapy based on choice theory on increasing marital satisfaction and sexual self-esteem and reduction of marital conflicts in divorce applicant women. This study was a research design was quasi experimental with pretest-posttest and control group. The statistical population consists of all women demanding divorce to referring of Mahallati district court of Tehran city in year 2017. The sample consisted of 30 women are divorce applicant women with purposive sampling method and available were chosen and randomly were divided in 2 groups of individuals as control and experimental. The experimental groups practiced the reality therapy based on choice theory 7 session and 60 minutes in each session. Then, post-test was performed for them. For data collecting, the marital satisfaction, sexual self-esteem and marital conflicts questionnaires were used. Data using the software SPSS-24 with analysis of multi covariance were analyzed.
