Background And Objectives
Brucellosis is a serious problem in many regions of the world including Iran. The aim of this study is to investigate the epidemiologiclal Features of reported cases in Children and Teens with brucellosis in Kohgilouyeh and Boyerahmad.

Material &
Methods
This cross-sectional (descriptive-analytic) study consisted of all Children and Teens 1 to 18 years diagnosed with Brucellosis between 2009 and 2015, whose information was available in the health centers of Kohgilouyeh and Boyerahmad province.Data analysis was performed using SPSS software (version 19) after data entry.
Results
The total number of people infected with brucellosis was 81 patients, of whom 40 patients (49.4%) were male and (50.6%) were female others. A total of 67 patients (82.7%) were residents of the rural and tribal areas, and the 14 others(17.3%) lived in the urban areas. The mean age of the patients was 11.30 ± 4.73 years and the most prevalent age groups were 11-18 years old With 61.7%. The disease was more common among students (48.1%) and in the first six months of the year it was more common (79 %). The most common way of transmission is through suspected dairy products and close contact with infected livestock with (85.2%) and (81.5%) respectively. Approximately, 82.8% of all patients had a diagnosis to treatment time between 0 and 3 months (acute brucellosis) and about 17.2% between three months to one year (subacute brucellosis). The most commonly observed clinical symptoms included pain, specifically bone pain (74.1%), fever (58%), low back pain (55.6%), weakness and anorexia (42), weight loss (32.1%), weakness and lethargy (2.5%),and depression (1.2%). Conclusion
Due to the prevalence of the disease in children and students in the nomadic areas, the timely control and detection of this groups who are among the active groups of society is essential. Further livestock vaccination, training this community and physicians can be helpful.
