The Effectiveness of Patience Education Based on the Religious Doctrines on Resilience

Abstract:
This research was an experimental research with a pretest-posttest and control group design. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of patience education based on religious teachings on the tolerance of female high school students in Isfahan. The statistical population included female high school students in Isfahan in the academic year 1993-94. A sample of 30 students was selected through convenience sampling and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. For eleven sessions, patience education was conducted as an intervention in the experimental group. The measurement instruments were the Conor and Davidson resilience questionnaire and Hossein Sabat’s patience scale. Data were analyzed using covariance analysis.
