Survey of fish waste effect as food on reproductive performance of Moina macrocopa

Aquatic flea (Moina macrocopa) as a live food using in aquatic larval culture and fed on costly microalgae follows cheaper food for production economically. On the other hand, nutritional value of waste fish showed that they have capability to use as food for this flea. For analysis this possibility, tilapia waste collected and dried were fed to water flea compared with two current foods, Spirulina and Chlorella microalgae in three treatments each with three replication under desire physicochemical parameter of water for 12 days. For this procedure, Neonate from a health water flea matured female collected, placed in a un-chlorinated water and fed with baker's yeast and after 24 hours they moved to the experimental units. Survival rate, fecundity and cumulative reproduction compared between treatments. The results revealed that survival rate and reproductive performance of this flea decreased by using fish waste followed by Chlorella and Spirulina (p
