Women's rights from the perspective of international law " Case Study of the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women"

One of the highlights of international law in the first half of the current century is advances in human rights and women. Since the end of the Second World War, 1945, and establishment of the United Nations that its main tasks are maintaining international peace and security and protecting human rights and the right to development until now, the status of women is subject to more than 20 the international legal document that each of these documents reflects a particular problem in women’s affairs .In this regard, Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women 1979 is the most innovative efforts of international law to develop the status of women in the current world. Following the ever-expanding issues of maintaining and promoting respect for human rights and freedoms that islam also known it as human dignity , defending human rights has been seriously considered. Given the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a valuable and Islamic perspective on this area, we will examine the various dimensions of the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and compare it with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
