Background
The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the burnout of primary school teachers.
Materials And Methods
The study population consisted of all female elementary school teachers in Nayin city in the academic year of 2016-2017. Using a multi-stage cluster sampling, a sample of 100 people was selected. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made questionnaire with 87% alpha coefficient. To analyze the descriptive and inferential statistics and calculate mean, standard deviation, SPSS12 software was used.
Findings: Individual, social, organizational and economic factors have a significant role in the burnout of teachers. The effect of individual and organizational factors on job dissatisfaction is highly significant. However, the effect of social and economic factors on job efficiency is moderate. The teacher's intellectual disability, the change and decrease of teacher's social status, the high number of students in the classroom, the low pay and the benefits of the teacher, respectively, as personal, social, organizational and economic factors, played a more role in the burnout of teachers.
Conclusions
Considering the role of the teacher in the process of education of the future generation and the reduction of the impact of identified factors on the job burnout of teachers, the need for more attention to meetings and meetings of reflection, training courses for the presentation of a practical solution will play a significant role.
