The efficacy of logo therapy based on religious approach on academic motivation and life satisfaction on first grade high school male students suffered from depression

The aim of the present research was to investigate the efficacy of logo therapy based on religious approach on academic motivation and life satisfaction on first grade male students suffered from depression in 4th area high schools in 1390-91. The research method was experimental with pre-post and control group. The sample consisted of 60 students who were selected by random cluster sampling and were matched from age, educational status, having one standarad deviation below the mean in depression, life statifaction and academic motivation, and other criteria considered in this research. Then randomly devided into two groups as experimental and control. The instruments were Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Harter Academic Motivation Inventory (HAMI) and Huebner Life Satisfaction Inventory (HLSI). The experimental group administered 10 sessions of logo therapy based on religious approach but the control group did not recieve any intervention. The data were analyzed with MANCOVA.
