The Model Of The Competency Based Training Of Strategic Commanders In Asymmetrical Warfare

The training of competencies required by strategic commanders in asymmetrical warfare has become one of the main concerns of the country's defense directors because the quality of equipping the commanders with the competencies will have a significant effect on the result of these wars. Accordingly, the present study aims to provide a model for the training of competent military commanders in asymmetrical warfare. This research, in the designing step of competency patterns, in terms of type of use, is applied and in terms of purpose, is simultaneous mixed research and in terms of purpose time horizon, is cross-sectional. In the designing step of the competency development and training model, in terms of the type of use, is applied and In terms of research purpose, is descriptive. In the first phase, a conceptual model was compiled by examining the literature of the research and interviewing 15 experts (using snowball sampling and content analysis) and validated through SmartPlus software. Then, in the second phase, the methods of training and development of competencies were extracted based on the research literature and prioritized based on the views of 12 experts in the form of the focal group. Finally, in addition to ranking the dimensions and components of the model in the first phase (insight, individual, organizational, and interpersonal, respectively), the development methods of each aspect of the model of the competency of military strategic commanders were presented in order of priority, and followed by practical proposals.
