The General Framework of the Management of the Individual Debt Based on the Analysis of the Contents of the Hadiths

Abstract:
The individual debt is an inevitable part of a financial system. Islam as a comprehensive religion has verses, hadiths and extensive fiqhi discussions on the ground of Muamalat (also muʿāmalāt, Arabic: معاملات, literally "transactions") and financial issues. Therefore, in the area of the management of debt, it should include a cohesive system which in its form, the needs of debtors and credits in a good manner are fulfilled and their rights completely are satisfied. The borrower does not need aid (charity) and he only tries to recover his deficiency till he can obtain income at future. Lenders are also going to spend (infaq) some of their wealth in the form of qardh al-hasan (an interest-free loan) for needy people. With content analysis of 197 hadiths relating to the management of debt from Jami'al-ahadith al-Shi'a book, this paper has resulted that Islam has considered (paid attention) the required framework for the suitable management of the debt bazar with many details and its key is to pay off debt on time and in complete form.
