The appearance of Islamic concepts in the decoration of Zarih

Abstract:
Zarih, a means of protecting the tomb and an area for the attendance of the pligrims, has always been the subject of Shia. It is make in different kinds and with verity of art work in accordance with the position of the buried. In addition to Shia, other Muslims in Iran and also other Islamic countries pay attention to Zarih making. However, the heavy attendance of Shias and the attention of Shia scholars in the history of Islam in Iran, has made Zarih making one of the most productive art of the industries in each period, and this precision is to the point that certain principles and rules have been set for Zarih making. This article seeks to understand and present these principles and disciplines and also to answer the question : what are the main decorations and patterns and what concept they follow? The method of this research is descriptive analytical and the method of gathering information is through library and field research. Investigations and adapting them to the points of views of the Zarih artists showed that the use of features of Islamic art has been associated with specific purposes, in which way the construction and decoration of Zarih is a means to be closer to God.
