Constitutional Revolution and Nationalism in Kamalalmolk's works

Constitutional Revolution is not only a sociopolitical incident but also a cultural one. The influences of this political incident produced social criticism and patriotism in poems and songs. Kamalalmolk was one of the most important painters of this era and the witness of social and political changes of Constitutional Revolution. This paper is about the study of representation of Constitutional Revolution in Kamalalmolk's works of art based on two historical periods: First focus on the art works before Constitutional Revolution that related to the social situation of women. The second related after of the confirmation of Constitutional Revolution in which Kamalalmolk represented some political features of Constitutional Revolution. The findings show that painting also was under the influences of this movement and his works, based on the discourses of the intellectuals of Constitutional Revolution represented two main issues: First is about the tendency of women toward superstition and their social situation. The other one is about the Nationalism, which was the one of the main discourses of the Constitutional Revolution. The picture of women in Kamalalmolk's works of art at the same time is realistic and critical. Also, he painted Nationalism through the portrait of the intellectual politicians that all of them have the same ideology and attitude toward the Constitutional Revolution.
