Abstract:
Cultural heritage is one the most significant bases of tourism that paves the ground for various other types of this industry. Ancient historical monuments are the most common sources of these heritages. Through identifying the factors effective on development of this type of tourism and prioritization of these factors on the basis of multi-standard optimization and fuzzy compromise solution, this research is intended to present some working procedures for development of historical and ancient monuments. This research has first studied the research literature with a descriptive method and then, based on the Delfi fuzzy and VIKOR fuzzy methods, has examined the factors effective on development of tourism. The findings of this method indicate that “partnership of the private sector and the government”, the condition of the infrastructures of the historical sites”, education of the local people concerning the importance of the historical sites”, continuous research on the historical sites”, and “their continuous monitoring” are the five main factors effective on development of historical sites tourism.
